The two famous Works Healeys both UJB 143, meet
up for the first time at Silverstone
on Saturday 11th July 2009. For more information on this fascinating
story of how both cars shared the same registration number, engine
number and chassis number, click

Peter Riley and Jack Sears reunited with their
two famous UJB 143 cars.

Gaydon - 2009

The last time these two cars were together was under
very different circumstances 45 years ago. They were both competing
in what is now considered as being probably the most famous rally
of all time. 1964 was the year that 33 EJB driven by Paddy Hopkirk
won an outright victory on the Monte Carlo Rally. 569 FMO was one
of three team cars that won the manufacturers team prize driven
by Rauno Aaltonen. It is good to have both cars together again after
such a long time. The two cars are virtually identical.

I feel pivileged to be able to say that I knew Pat
as a good friend. She loved her horses but will best be remembered
for her amazing driving skills and successes. She was a hero to
me in life and will always remain so in my thoughts - Paul Roberts.
I had the pleasure of meeting Pat Moss-Carlsson,
when as a rally mad schoolboy I went with my Dad to a checkpoint
at Ye Olde Bell at Barnby Moor [Nottinghamshire], I think it was
the RAC Rally.
Anyway, Pat Moss was there she was driving a sick
car on that event and whilst it was being 'serviced' I managed to
chat to her........she was great, she had time for me, talked about
her past events,, and was very kind and caring, and encouraged me
very very much, even waving to me as she set off towards the next
control.
I regret never writing to her life, and saying how
thankful I was that day, for the time she took out to talk to a
rally mad youngster........................me.
Occassionally now I compete in lesser events, and
realise how stressed one can get even at the 'hobby' end of the
sport.
She will be remembered by me fondly, and a secret
wish that I wish I could have known her ....just that bit more.
Treasured memory, thank you Pat,
Richard A Ward. Doncaster UK
Pat has been a long time hero of mine; I thought
she was one of the best rally drivers of her era. Although missed,
she certainly remains in our memories.
